Respite Care for Families

Relief for Family Caregivers Who Have Given Everything

Family caregivers carry one of the heaviest burdens a person can carry. Respite care gives you the time to rest, recharge, and return to your loved one as the best version of yourself.

You Cannot Pour From an Empty Cup, and You Should Not Have To

Across Bergen County and Northern New Jersey, hundreds of adult children and spouses are caring for aging loved ones without any support of their own. They have given up sleep, careers, and their own health to be there. They often feel too guilty to take a day off, too worried to step away for more than an hour.

Respite care is designed specifically for them. It is professional, compassionate coverage that allows a family caregiver to step away for a few hours, a full day, a weekend, or a planned vacation, knowing their loved one is in excellent hands. The same level of care, the same warmth, the same attentiveness. The only difference is the purpose.

Common Questions

Respite Care: What Families Ask Us

We ask for as much notice as possible. Two to three weeks is ideal for planned events like vacations. For more urgent situations, we do our best to accommodate on shorter timelines and will always be honest about what is possible.
This is one of the most common concerns we hear. It almost always eases once the client has had a positive experience with the aide. A brief introductory visit beforehand makes a significant difference, and we can coach you through the transition.
Absolutely, and we encourage it. Many family caregivers schedule recurring respite care weekly or monthly. A few hours every Saturday or the first weekend of each month. We build it into the regular plan so it becomes reliable and easy.
